MOTHERWORKS: A FESTIVE FAMILY CELEBRATION OF MOM!
Music! Mayem! A Flying Flapjack Feast over Mother’s Day Weekend
MotherWorks, presented by D. Geller & Son, is coming to the Atlanta area Mother’s Day weekend, Thursday, May 11 through Sunday, May 14. Show Advisor, Shuler Hensley, is guiding the dinner theater production. The show is a celebration of MOMS through a fun, family musical revue featuring an all Atlanta cast whose credits include Broadway, National Tours, TV, Film and regional and Atlanta theaters including The Alliance, Theatrical Outfit, Kenny Leon’s True Colors, and The Atlanta Lyric Theatre.
Performances will be held at The Warehouse in Cumming, Georgia at 7:00pm on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12 and at 10:00am and 1:00pm on Saturday, May 13 and 4:00pm and 7:00pm on Sunday, May 14.
Catering is by ChrisCakes, and tickets for the meal/show combo are available for $25 until April 1, $30 until May 1, and $35 until May 14. Tickets at the door may be purchased for $40. All seats are General Admission and are available at www.motherworks.eventbrite.com.
At each performance, the audience will have the opportunity to support Teach One to Lead One™, an established non-profit, mentoring at-risk kids through juvenile courts and public schools.
Four mother-daughter duos serve as the main cast: Debra and Sarah Stipe, Laura and Emerson Steele, Marlene and Lily Dickinson, and Jennifer and Sarah Charles Lewis.
Many major Atlanta arts organizations are uniting for this important cause. Special appearances will be featured by artists from Dare, Dream, Dance, The Georgia Ballet, Gotta Dance Contemporary, The Greater Atlanta Girls’ Choir, The Atlanta Workshop Players, Orbit Arts Academy, The Performer’s Warehouse, and Rhythm Dance Center
