Flags stolen from residence next to Barker House

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A woman who lives near one of Forsyth County’s unofficial landmarks, the Barker House on Sawnee Mountain, said her flags have been stolen recently.

The woman told deputies April 29 that someone had stolen her flags, American and “Blue Lives Matter” versions, eight times in two months.

She said every weekend night there are kids who come to the area to party and she thinks they are stealing the flags. She said she usually has to pick up beer cars, cigarette butts and other trash the next morning.

There are surveillance cameras at the residence, but none pointed at the end of the driveway where the flags are located. The woman said the stolen flags total $320.
