FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Two Davis Academy fifth graders, Ashley Dryburgh and Samantha Iroff, recently raised money for the Humane Society to combat for Hurricane Harvey and Irma.
The two girls created a company called Caribbean Slime where they would sell batches of slime in various colors and textures.
All proceeds of the slime sales went to the Humane Society. The girls raised $270 selling to their neighbors and people at the Newtown Dog Park in Johns Creek and received many donations.
Humane Society manager Reco Mitchell explained to the girls they had taken in 150 animals from Houston and 100 more from the Tri-State Animal Shelter in Miami. The girls’ donations would help injured animals and those that needed to be relocated.
